The Wheat Ridge Art League was founded in 1974 with the following purposes:
- To pursue the study of fine art
- To encourage originality
- To provide members with the opportunity to obtain public recognition
Today there are 40 members who gather at monthly meetings to provide support and encouragement to each other. We continue to learn from one another and also from the excellent demonstrations conducted by experienced local artists at each meeting. In addition, the League sponsors several workshops each year, also conducted by popular local artists using a variety of mediums.
New artists are welcome. All levels of expertise are represented: from beginners to accomplished painters.

Gallery Insertion Instructions
As a member, you may display up to three photos of your work in our Member Gallery section free of charge. If you wish to display your work, I will need photos or electronic files. You can mail photos to me, I will scan them, and return them to you. Or, send an and attach .jpg files of your art. Don't worry too much about the size as I can make the necessary adjustments. Please include the title, media, size, and if it is for sale, the cost, and if it is framed or matted. If you prefer, I can impose the words 'Do Not Copy' over your image. Keep in mind that anything on the web can be copied if the person is determined to do so. However, the photos are reduced to a fairly small size and the low resolution will result in a fuzzy (or very small) print.
Sales are not handled through the site, but you can include your email address for contact, or let the buyer go through the webmaster (me). You can give me your contact information and I will forward any inquiries to you.
Individual Gallery Pages
Members may purchase a separate gallery page and display up to 20 works in a slide show or image view display. The cost is $25.00 per year, which includes the setup fee, maintenance, and an optional bio/artist's statement page. Your gallery will have a link from the WRAL home page. Your url will be: www.colo-artists.com/wral/your_name.html. This link will go directly to your page. Maintenance includes changing the display or editing the bio page each month. Elsie Pacello has one of these individual gallery pages, and you will find her link at the left under Individual Member Galleries.
